Bonfire night buttery popcorn

Autumn’s chilly fingers are tickling at our collars, and it’s time to turn our attention to that most British of celebrations: Bonfire Night! Whether you’re just having fun with the little or entertaining adults, certain elements – a warming hot drink, sweet treats and a lot of apples – are must-have classics.

After all that sweetness, a savoury note is needed to balance things out and the cheery thuds of corn popping are just perfect when rockets are blazing in the blackness.

You will need:

  • 90g popping corn
  • 1tbsp sunflower oil for popping
  • 2 tbsp Flora Buttery
  • Seasoning

Method:

  1. Pop the corn following the instructions on the pack (the microwave type is fine too; in that case, the oil is not needed).
  2.  Melt the Flora Buttery, allow it to cool for a minute, and then quickly stir through the popcorn so that all the fluffy bites are coated but nothing gets soaked.
