Easy chocolate brownies
Who’s Annie Spratt?
Annie is a blogger, wife and mum of eight. She blogs over at Mammasaurus where she shares inspiration for the children and delicious, simple recipes for the family.
These Love You Brownies make lovely gifts for grandparents as they can be a team effort to make with parents making and baking the brownies and children decorating. My kid’s grandmother often bakes cakes for when we visit, so being able to bake her a treat for a change is always appreciated!
To make the Brownies, follow the Easy Chocolate Brownies recipe, here on the Flora website.
To decorate, ask your little to draw a heart shape on a piece of card and then cut it out, supervising if necessary (depending on the age / ability of your child). Sit the heart shaped card on top of a piece of brownie and using a sieve, let them shake ‘snow’ (aka icing sugar) over the top. Repeat on each brownie.
Your child can experiment with different shapes, older and more capable children might like to try cutting out snowflakes to use instead of hearts!
