Apple Filling

  • 4 cups peeled Granny Smith apples, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 pinch salt

Pecan Streusel Topping

  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2/3 cup lightly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Flora™ Plant Butter Salted, melted

Optional Toppings

  • vegan vanilla ice cream

Apple Filling

  1. Mix apple cubes, sugar, flour, juice from 1 lemon, and salt together in a bowl.
  2. Let mixture sit for 20 minutes to allow apples to release juices.

Pecan Streusel Topping

  1. In a bowl, mix pecans, sugar, flour, and oats together.
  2. Stir in melted Flora™ Plant Butter Salted, stirring all ingredients until combined.

Assembly and Baking Instructions

  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit.
  2. Scoop a heaping spoonful of streusel into 6 8oz. mason jars. Then, add apple filling to the jars, followed by other scoop of streusel.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until apple filling is bubbling.

Serve with vegan vanilla ice cream and vegan caramel sauce.
