Apple Filling
  • 4 cups peeled Granny Smith apples, cut into 1/2-inch cubes
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon all purpose flour
  • 1 lemon, juiced
  • 1 pinch salt
Pecan Streusel Topping
  • 1 cup chopped pecans
  • 2/3 cup lightly packed light brown sugar
  • 1/2 cup all purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup rolled oats
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 cup Flora™ Plant Butter Salted, melted
Optional Toppings
  • vegan caramel sauce
  • vegan vanilla ice cream

Instructions
 

Apple Filling
  1. Mix all ingredients together in a large bowl.
  2. Let mixture sit for 20 minutes to allow apples to release juices.
Pecan Streusel Topping
  1. Mix chopped pecan halves, granulated sugar, all purpose flour, and oats together.
  2. Slowly pour melted plant butter into the bowl and stir until all ingredients are combined. Set aside.
Assembly and Baking Instructions
  1. Preheat oven to 400 degrees Fahrenheit. Place 6 8oz. mason jars onto a baking sheet.
  2. Scoop a heaping spoonful of Pecan Streusel into each mason jar. Then, add the Apple Filling to jars, followed by another spoonful of Pecan Streusel.
  3. Bake for 15-20 minutes, or until apple filling is bubbling.
