Black Bean Brownies


  1. Heat the oven to 160°c (fan) and line a 20cm square brownie tin with baking paper.
  2. Blitz the melted Flora Original, black beans, eggs and vanilla extract. Mix the cocoa powder, baking powder and sugar.
  3. Tip the black bean mix into the cocoa powder mix and whisk to combine. Fold the chocolate chunks in, then tip into the brownie tin and bake for 25 minutes.
  4. Allow to cool, then set in the fridge for an hour or so. Use the baking paper to help you to remove from the tin and use a sharp knife to cut into brownies, however big or small you like!

  • 60g Flora Original, melted
  • 400g black beans
  • 150g golden caster sugar
  • 60g cocoa powder
  • 50g dark chocolate (70%), chopped into chunks
  • 2 eggs
  • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
  • ½ tsp. baking powder
