Flora Spicy Kabsa

Ingredients
 

  • Lamb Cubes 800grams
  • basmati rice washed soaked 2 cups 400grams
  • red onion large finely chopped 125grams
  • garlic minced 30grams
  • tomatoes diced 2 100grams
  • Flora 1/4cup 60grams
  • Kabsa Spice Mix 2 tbsp 20grams
  • ground turmeric 1tsp 5grams
  • ground cinnamon 1tsp 5grams
  • ground cumin 1tsp
  • chilli powder 1tsp as per preference
  • 4 cups lamb or vegetable broth 1250ml
  • salt to taste 10grams
  • fresh cliantro chopped 20grams

      Instructions
       

      1. In a large pot or, melt Flora over medium heat.
      2. Add chopped onions and sauté until they become translucent.
      3. Add minced garlic and continue to sauté for another minute until fragrant.
      4. Add the lamb cubes to the pot and brown them on all sides.
      5. Stir in the Kabsa spice mix, ground turmeric, ground cinnamon, ground cumin, and chili powder. Cook for an additional 2-3 minutes to allow the spices to release their flavors.
      6. Add diced tomatoes to the pot and cook until they soften.
      7. Pour in the washed and soaked basmati rice, stirring to coat the rice with the spice and tomato mixture.
      8. Pour in the lamb or vegetable broth. Season with salt according to your taste.
      9. Bring the mixture to a boil, then reduce the heat to low, cover the pot, and let it simmer for 15-20 minutes or until the rice is cooked and the liquid has been absorbed.
      10. Once the rice is cooked, fluff it with a fork and let it sit, covered, for an additional 5 minutes to steam.
      11. Garnish the Spicy Beef Kabsa with chopped cilantro or parsley before serving.
