Caramelised Apple & Cinnamon Porridge

Porridge is the ultimate runners’ breakfast to help keep you going through those gruelling miles. With this new recipe, a sustaining breakfast can also be delicious! Caramelised apple and cinnamon porridge will be your new go-to meal before you lace up those trusty running shoes and aim for that PB.

  • 450 ml milk
  • 75 g rolled oats
  • 1 tbsp maple syrup or golden syrup
  • 1/2 level tsp ground cinnamon
  • - Topping -
  • 25 g Flora
  • 2 apples, cored and thickly sliced
  • 2 dessertspoons of soft brown sugar

  1. Place milk, syrup and cinnamon in a saucepan and bring to the boil.
  2. Reduce heat and stir in the oats.
  3. Cook for 4-5 mins or until the milk has been absorbed by the oats.
  4. Melt the Flora Dairy Free and saute the apples until golden brown.
  5. Add the sugar and cook for 1-2 minutes until melted and apples are nicely coated.
  6. Serve the porridge topped with the caramelized apples.
