The Best Double Chocolate Salted Cookies

  • 150 g light brown sugar
  • 226 g Flora Plant B+tter Unsalted
  • 1 tbsp vanilla bean paste
  • 180 g plain flour
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 50 g cacao powder
  • 125 ml non dairy milk
  • pinch sea salt
  • 235 g chocolate chips
  • 1 tbsp sea salt flakes
  1. Add the sugar, butter & bean paste to a mixing bowl & whisk together using an electric hand whisk until light and fluffy.
  2. In a small mixing bowl, mix together the cacao powder & milk. Then when this mixture is smooth add it to the butter mixture.
  3. Sift the flour & baking powder, and add the salt. Fold everything together with a spatula and when the mix is coming together gently stir through the chocolate chips.
  4. Cover the bowl with cling film and place the bowl into the fridge too cool for 2 hours. (Or in the freezer for 20 minutes if you’re cookie desperate!)
  5. Pre heat your oven to 160 degrees C & line a baking sheet with greaseproof paper. Use an ice cream scoop or spoon to pick up 2-3 tbs worth of dough, lightly roll into a ball shape and place onto you lined basking tray around 2 inches apart.
  6. Once you’ve filled your tray, place into the oven to bake for 10 minutes.
  7. Once cooked, sprinkle over a little sea salt flakes & enjoy.
